Caroline is able to undertake any magazine editing and commissioning duties as well as writing or guest blogging commissions. With a wide knowledge of the interiors, lifestyle and crafts industries, she is available to offer her skills in these areas and is happy to chat themes and ideas with you. Caroline’s experience with sourcing imagery can help you to make your book, publication, newsletter, promotional material or website look great, and compliant with copyright laws, no matter what your budget. She is also experienced in commissioning, briefing and working with photographers. She is proficient in both Adobe Photoshop and InDesign, and is happy to discuss any creative projects you may have.
Background and Experience
Caroline studied Photographic Arts at the University of Westminster, London and has worked in the photographic and publishing industries ever since. Gaining experience at picture agencies and magazines in New York back in 2005, she then went on to work in London for one of the world's largest picture agencies, Getty Images. From 2007-2013 she worked as a picture editor for the Financial Times newspaper, sourcing images and commissioning photographers across the globe for the FT Weekend property, interiors & gardens section House & Home.
Caroline's editorial clients have included Mollie Makes magazine including guest-editing two of their Home bookazines. She also works regularly with Jacqui Small Publishing (who published Caroline's book The Shopkeepers Home) sourcing images for books.
Caroline has worked with a number of brands on blog collaborations including: Farrow and Ball, Smeg, Dulux, The Lounge Co, Silentnight, Christy Towels, Harlequin, B&Q, Argos, Carpetright, ao.com, made.com, Wayfair, Voga, BHS, Stencilit, Debenhams, eFrame, Homebase, Rewined Candles and First Direct bank.
In addition, she has spoken at various events, such as Blogtacular, Crafty Fox Talks, Paper Girls and Cybher.
